West Ham have found issues between the sticks this season, with on-loan stopper Joe Hart not impressing during his time at the club from Manchester City and experienced stopper Adrian also failing to excel in the role.

As such, the Hammers are expected to enter the market this summer to sign a new first-choice goalkeeper and an ideal opportunity could be presented to them, with reports that a West Ham target is braced for an exit at the end of the season.

The Daily MailĀ state England international Jack Butland will definitely leave the Potters this summer if they’re relegated from the Premier League, while he could also seek an exit to bolster his standing with the national side if Stoke remain in the top-flight.

With two games to play, Stoke are three points from safety and look in a dangerous position, with Swansea City and Southampton ahead of them both having a game in hand- although that fixture is against one another.

West Ham may have to contend with Liverpool in the market for Butland, who are also long-term suitors for the stopper.
