West Ham have a number of targets on their shortlist this summer and will hope to land many of them before the World Cup in Russia, where price-tags could rise with solid performances.

One of those widely linked with a move to the London Stadium is Krasnodar striker Fedor Smolov, who seems to be falling out with the fans in the Eastern European nation.

Reportedly caught swearing at supporters and being booed during a recent league game, Russian agent Roman Oreschuk has since waded into the discussion and urged Smolov to move to mainland Europe this summer.

Quoted by Sports Witness, he said:

“Fedor, please do not pay attention to these stupid critics. I have already told you, you need to go to Europe. I think you’ll play better in Europe, believe me.”

Smolov is keen on a move to the Premier League and would prefer to live in London, handing West Ham a double boost in the chase for a striker likely to lead the line for the World Cup hosts this summer.
