West Ham need major improvements this summer as they seek to re-establish themselves back in the top-half of the Premier League in the coming years, after disappointing campaigns so far at the London Stadium.
The Hammers need to bolster their defensive line after continued poor performances have left the east London side sitting just three points above the relegation zone, following defeats to Liverpool, Swansea City and Burnley.
Fortunately, a major opportunity may fall onto the plate of the Hammers as The Sun states that West Ham could sign Barcelona defender Yerry Mina on-loan this summer, following the club’s capture of Arthur from Gremio.
Ernesto Valverde’s side are only allowed to have three registered non-EU players as part of their squad and Arthur, due to arrive from the South American side from in the summer, takes their quota up to four.
As Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho, the other two non-EU players within Barcelona’s ranks, are senior players within the squad, it’s unlikely either of them would be sacrificed and the same is the case for Arthur.
