West Ham’s board is certainly not popular at the moment and tempers boiled over at the London Stadium during the recent 3-0 defeat to Burnley, which left the Hammers just a single point above the relegation zone.

The east London outfit now have just eight games to save their top-flight status and have a difficult run of fixtures ahead of them, which begins with this weekend’s mammoth relegation showdown with Southampton.

Mark Hughes’ side sit a point and a place below West Ham in the standings and could leapfrog the Hammers with a victory this weekend, whereas a win for West Ham would give David Moyes’ side a four-point cushion.

Whilst fans will hope the board stays away, The Daily Star reveals that co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan will attend this weekend’s clash at the London Stadium- and there will also be beefed up security at the ground.

The pair, along with other members of the board, were forced to leave early during the loss to Burnley due to concerns regarding safety but it hasn’t deterred them from attending this week.
