West Ham have plenty of work to do this summer and it’s no secret that David Moyes has been longing for midfield improvements, after failed in approaches for Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey and Stoke’s Joe Allen in January.

The Hammers had to settle on landing Joao Mario on-loan from Inter Milan but questions remain as to whether the Portuguese international will have the opportunity to make his stay at the London Stadium permanent.

Moyes seems to be preparing for additional recruits in the middle of the field for whatever scenario though but concerning reports have stated that the Hammers face a fight in the quest to land Trabzonspor’s Okay Yokuslu.

Turkish Football report that Leicester City are the latest club to enter the running for the talented defensive midfielder, with West Brom also linked with the services of the Turkish international.

The report claims that Trabzonspor will demand a fee in the region of £8m for the 21-year-old and, with the likes of Leicester and Sevilla keen, the Hammers will surely have to retain their Premier League status in order to have any chance of completing a swoop.
