West Ham have been on an extended break from action in recent weeks, as they edge towards the end of their second out of three weeks without a Premier League fixture.

The Hammers entered the break on the back of three consecutive defeats, leaving them just a single point above the relegation zone, and there’s plenty of work to be done in the final months of the season- with just eight games to play.

David Moyes is already starting preparations for next season though and revealed to the club’s official website that he’s on a scouting trip this weekend, whilst also assessing potential pre-season destinations for the club in Austria and Germany.

“I’m actually going to use the end of the week and over the weekend to go and visit the pre-season sites for where we’re going to pre-season, so I’ll try and go and get that done correctly. On route, I’ll take in a game or two and see if I can see some of the players play in international games.”

Moyes is set to watch his native Scotland in action against Costa Rica, where he could keep tabs on Fulham captain Tom Cairney.
