England manager Gareth Southgate announced his latest squad for the upcoming friendlies against Italy and Holland, where many fans questioned the selection of one West Ham man.
Spending the season on-loan from Manchester City, Joe Hart has struggled for consistency this season and dropped another clanger during his return to first-team action last weekend, during a 3-0 defeat to Brighton.
Despite that, Southgate has kept Hart in his squad for this month and it suggests that there is no chance of the 75-cap goalkeeper failing to make the World Cup this summer- despite the calls from fans to make changes.
Hart is joined in the England squad by Everton’s Jordan Pickford, Stoke City’s Jack Butland and Burnley’s Nick Pope, all of whom are deserving of a call-up, but fans who are calling for Hart to be dropped certainly have a point.
In the wake of the latest call-up, England fans took to social media to question Southgate’s decision- and have criticised Hart once again.

Joe Hart is still in the squad? He's hardly played the past couple months, and then when he did come back in he drops a clanger!

Why is Joe Hart picked? Why is Danny Welbeck picked? Does Gareth Southgate know Ryan Sessegnon exists? https://t.co/EwxXpzQUE7

Trying to work out how Joe Hart, Joe Gomez, Danny Rose, Jack Wilshere, Adam Lallana and Welbeck have all been included in the England squad despite making just 5 combined Premier League starts since the start of February. pic.twitter.com/wLxDRJAkWD
