West Ham are ready to go for broke in the summer transfer window to bolster their underperforming side, after two seasons spent flirting with relegation.

David Moyes was keen to bolster his midfield ranks during the January transfer window but failed to land a permanent acquisition, instead signing Portuguese international Joao Mario on-loan from Italian giants Inter Milan.

The Scottish boss is keen to rectify that failure at the end of the season, especially as the club are preparing for the potential loss of Pedro Obiang- who has been widely linked with a move to Italy to join Fiorentina.

West Ham want to sign two central midfielders this summer and The Daily Mirror states one man on Moyes’ wish-list is Anderlecht’s 22-year-old Leander Dendoncker, who was eyed in the mid-season window but failed to secure a transfer.

Dendoncker is battling to try and force his way into Roberto Martinez’s Belgian squad for this summer’s World Cup in Russia and has spoken about his desire to move to the Premier League, though Anderlecht will demand around £20m for his services.
