West Ham remain active in the transfer market as the January window enters it’s last week and a number of exciting deals could go ahead in East London.

David Moyes is determined to rejuvenate his side from back to front and the Hammers have been linked with a number of names over the course of recent weeks, including some who will be familiar to followers of the Premier League.

Newcastle United striker Aleksander Mitrovic has been mentioned as a potential target for Moyes’ side and the Hammers may have been handed a boost in their quest to sign the Serbian international, as Newcastle are going all out for a replacement.

The Daily MirrorĀ suggests Rafael Benitez’s side are ready to break their transfer record to lure Algerian striker Islam Slimani to St. James’ Park from Leicester City, which would then allow Mitrovic to seal a move away from Tyneside.

That domino effect could then trigger further business in the Premier League, with West Ham likely to then approve the departures of Andre Ayew and Diafra Sakho, who have attracted interest from Swansea City and Crystal Palace respectively.
