West Ham may be under threat due to a potential exit for a World Cup hopeful, who is said to be pushing for an exit due to his ambitions of representing his nation in Russia this summer.

The Times states that Joe Hart is seeking to bring an early end to his loan spell in East London from Manchester City, as he seeks first-team football to ensure he remains as England’s number one for this summer’s tournament.

Hart has struggled for form this season after a difficult year where Pep Guardiola made it clear he had no future with the Citizens and has been ousted by Spaniard Adrian during recent months since David Moyes took charge.

Adrian looks set to remain first-choice for the remainder of the season and, following an early exit from the FA Cup, first-team opportunities for Hart look to remain extremely slim- which is an issue for the 30-year-old.

Hart faces a wealth of competition for his England jersey from the likes of Stoke City’s Jack Butland and Everton’s Jordan Pickford and is determined to stand between the posts this summer, though he’ll need first-team football to guarantee that spot.

However, it’s unlikely that West Ham will sanction an exit- especially with just a few days left in the window.
