West Ham United are set to make a shock January move for Bournemouth’s Harry Arter, reports Sports Illustrated.

Manager David Moyes – who has enjoyed a fine start to life at the London Stadium since his appointment early last month – is thought to want to bring in proven Premier League experience to the London Stadium after the New Year, and could turn to Arter to bolster his options in the middle of the park.

Arter has been with the Cherries since 2010, and has been a key member of Eddie Howe’s squad as he travelled from League One to the Premier League with his current side.

During his spell down south, the Republic of Ireland international has made 244 appearances and found the net 28 times.

The 27-year-old however has fallen out of favour with manager Howe this season, and has been limited to only 11 starts all season – none which have come in recent weeks.

Should West Ham want to prize the midfielder away from Dean Court, he is likely to set them back around £15 million.
