West Ham United are ready to bolster their side in the January transfer window with players who can help the Hammers battle away from relegation, improving the upturn in form they have shown in recent weeks.

David Moyes’ side have now managed to go three games unbeaten, securing victories over Chelsea and Stoke City either side of a goalless draw with Arsenal, but the Scottish boss is aware that stern tests continue to lie ahead.

Sport Witness report that West Ham scouts were in attendance to watch Porto’s cup clash with Vitória Guimarães on Thursday evening, where the home side stormed to a 4-0 victory.

Scouts from the Hammers are understood to have been keeping an eye on defender Danilo Pereira, who had a fine game, whilst they may have also tried to have a look at Yacine Brahimi- although the latter was rested for the game.

Both Danilo and Brahimi were reported targets for the Hammers in the summer and the East London side seem intent on reviving their interest ahead of the mid-season window, as they seek to rise further up the standings.
