West Ham United face a difficult decision in the coming weeks, with a Premier League relegation rival reportedly eyeing a swoop for a Hammers player.

WalesOnline cites reports that indicate that West Ham’s fellow strugglers Swansea City are eyeing a swoop for Andre Ayew, as they seek to bring the Ghanian forward back to the Liberty Stadium.

Ayew left South Wales in the summer of 2016 but has struggled to establish himself as a key-player at the London Stadium ever since, facing competition with the likes of Marko Arnautovic, Michail Antonio and Javier Hernandez for consistent opportunities.

The player is reportedly surplus to requirements in the eyes of David Moyes, with the Hammers ready to consider offers at around half the £20m figure they paid for the African ace 18 months ago- a significant loss.

Ayew has netted eight goals in 38 appearances for West Ham, less than the 12 he scored during his only season with Swansea. However, the Hammers must consider the potential boost a sale would hand their relegation rivals.
