West Ham have struggled to find their feet this season and the situation has not improved since appointing David Moyes to steady the ship.

The Scottish boss is yet to taste victory as Hammers boss and it seems unlikely that the situation will change in the coming weeks, as the East London side travel to face Manchester City before welcoming Chelsea and Arsenal to the London Stadium.

A 4-0 drubbing at the hands of fellow strugglers Everton in midweek has significantly raised the pressure on the club, who missed the chance to rise out of the relegation zone, and one pundit criticised Moyes during the coverage.

Ex-England midfielder Owen Hargreaves said to BT Sport during the match that Moyes was wasting the talents of record-signing Marko Arnautovic, who has struggled since his £25m move from Stoke City in the summer.

“He should be playing on the left, especially when you’ve got your second choice left-back [Arthur Masuaku] on the left. You’ve paid £25 million for him, play him in his best position.”

The winger played on the right in the defeat to Everton and struggled to get involved in the game, which may be down to playing out of position.
