West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction after the news West Ham will play Joe Hart’s former side Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup third round.
The Hammers will travel to the New Meadow for the first time over the weekend of 5-8 January 2018 following Monday’s draw. An exact date is yet to be confirmed.

While the tie will be of little personal significance to many, it does see Hart return to his boyhood club with whom he started his career.
The England international came through the youth academy at New Meadow, before making his professional debut for the club back in 2004, only a day after his 17th birthday.
After three successful years with the Shrews, Hart was bought by Manchester City, the club with whom he has spent almost over decade before moving to West Ham on-loan this season. With the Citizen’s, Hart was won two Premier League trophies and the league’s Golden Glove award on four occasions.
Despite his credentials however, the Hammers fans don’t seem to want to see Hart have a happy return to his old club, with many disappointed at his poor form since joining the club …
yeah hart can be our cup keeper and adrian can be our number 1 again

He shouldn’t be starting for them, let alone us! Adrian number 1.

Yep, hopefully Adrian will be regularly keeper then so Joe Hart will get to play that one. #FACup

We kept the receipt, can we have our money back please?

No – don’t want our reserve keeper in for the cup. Adrian is the only decent number 1 we have and I’d like a decent run please.

I’d rather play Adrian.
