West Ham United could be forced to sack manager Slaven Bilic without having lined up a suitable replacement, reports The Sun.

Bilic, who was given two games to save his job just over a week ago, has come under heavy fire in recent weeks for what has been a poor start to the season for the Hammers.

Having pulled off an astonishing comeback against Spurs at Wembley in the EFL Cup during mid-week, the Bilic’s side returned to their normal selves at the weekend with a disappointing 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace.

The Croatian’s job now hangs in the balance, and a defeat at Liverpool this coming weekend would all but signal the end of his career in East London.

While he could save his bacon with a remarkable victory, not many are backing Bilic to do so.

A defeat would leave the Hammers in the bottom three and see owners David Gold and David Sullivan with no choice but to let the Croatian go.

Should they lose Bilic this weekend, West Ham go into an horribly difficult run of fixtures leading into Christmas which sees them face Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City – all potentially without a manager.

A number of targets have been drawn up by the powers that be at the club including Burnley’s Sean Dyche and ex Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel, however no approach has yet been made.
