The agent of Bologna midfielder Simone Verdi does not believe the player will be switching clubs in the January transfer window.

The Italian was linked with West Ham by Tuttomercatoweb back in September, and speaking to Romanews.eu (translated by insidefutbol.com) about his client’s future, Donato Orgnoni said he has not had any proposals from interested clubs so far:

“I don’t think anything will happen in the winter market. Officially we have not received any offers or have been contacted, even by Inter. The player is happy where he is at the moment.”

Verdi signed for Bologna from AC Milan for just €1.5m in July 2016, and has gone on to rack up 41 appearances for the Serie A side, with seven goals and six assists to his name.

The 25 year old generally plays as a right winger, and has been capped by Italy twice, with his competitive debut coming just last month in the 1-1 draw against Macedonia. The Italian only signed a new four year contract back in June suggesting a move away from Bologna isn’t something the player is actively seeking when the window reopens in January.
