West Ham fans have struggled to find comfort since moving to the London Stadium, with the home of the 2012 Olympics failing to feel like an adequate replacement for the loved Boelyn Ground.

The Hammers’ poor performances on the field since the move, which saw them endure a sub-par season last term and occupy the relegation spots this year, have certainly not helped to improve the atmosphere and fans have let their feelings known on multiple occasions.

Unfortunately, there’s no going back as Upton Park has been reduced to a mere pile of rubble but one beloved feature of the Hammers’ former home is set to be reunited with supporters in the month’s ahead.

Club chairman David Gold confirmed on Twitter that a decision has been made to move a beloved statue of Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters and Ray Wilson to the London Stadium- though the responses from fans were certainly mixed.

Whilst many appreciated the move, others used it as a further opportunity to dig the knife into Gold and complain about the move 18 months ago- pointing out the article shared was from 2015 too.
