The agent of West Ham target Simeone Verdi has ruled out a move to the London Stadium this January by saying the Italian will stay with Bologna till the end of the season.

Verdi was a summer transfer target for the Hammers, and the East London club’s interest has further peaked following his impressive start to the season.

The 25-year-old’s fantastic start to the campaign has seen him not only called up to the Italian national team for the first time in his career, but also attracted interest from a number of Serie A’s biggest clubs including Juventus and Roma.

However despite so, the players agent is sure Verdi will still be a Bologna player after the January transfer window.

Donata Orgnoni, speaking to RomaNews, said: “Interest from Roma? Right now there’s nothing.

“I’ve never heard from Monchi, it’s an interest we’ve only heard about in the newspapers. At the moment there’s been no offer from Roma.

“Everything is closed with Napoli at the moment, the player is thinking about his season with the Felsinei.

“I don’t think it’s possible for him to go anywhere in the January transfer window. Officially we haven’t received offers or even been contacted, not even by Inter.

“We renewed his contract at the end of last season, and he’s tied to Bologna until 2021.”
