West Ham United have struggled this season and under fire boss Slaven Bilic faces a defensive crisis ahead of this weekend’s crucial test with Liverpool, as three senior centre-halves may be unavailable.
Portuguese defender Jose Fonte was forced off during the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace last week, a game that Winston Reid also missed, and the pair joined James Collins on the sidelines- although the latter has given a timely boost.
Posting on his Instagram page, the recently retired Welsh international revealed he hopes to return to the first-team fold and will look to help his side improve their form, with the Hammers currently sat a single point above the relegation zone.
