West Ham United have struggled this season and failed to beat Crystal Palace at the weekend despite holding a 2-0 lead, having to settle for a draw that leaves the Hammers sat just a single point above the relegation zone.
Slaven Bilic’s position remains under serious threat and they face a huge challenge this weekend against Jurgen Klopp’s top-four chasing Liverpool, with a defensive crisis at the club adding to the fears ahead of the game.
The Hammers face a crucial few weeks after the upcoming international break and it remains to be seen whether Bilic will retain his position. However, even if he is replaced, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher is extremely worried about the club’s form.
Speaking on Sky Sports, the former defender said:
“They’re the one team I would massively worry about in terms of relegation. It doesn’t look like there’s much there.”
Poor performances in recent weeks make it unlikely that the Hammers will get a result against Liverpool, which could result into a slip into the relegation zone, with West Ham then facing high-flying Watford before two crucial games against fellow strugglers Leicester and Everton.
