Former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has said he doesn’t expect West Ham to go down this season despite their poor start to the campaign.

The Hammers currently sit 18th in the Premier League after having won only 2 of their 12 top flight games so far, and have been hotly tipped by many for the drop after their dismal start.

Sherwood, who won the Premier League as a player with Blackburn Rovers in 1994/95, thinks otherwise however.

The ex-Tottenham boss said: “West Ham aren’t going down. Slaven Bilic would have saved them. There’s not a chance, with that squad, that they’re going down.”

West Ham invested over £50 million in the summer in new signings, including the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez, however such investments has thus far failed to pay dividends.

David Moyes’ side travel to Goodison Park tomorrow night looking for their first three points in the Premier League since September 30th when they beat fellow strugglers Swansea 1-0.
