Former England and Liverpool star Jamie Carragher has slammed West Ham and says they should ‘really fear’ relegation this season after what has been a poor start to the new season.
While the now Sky Sports Pundit may have been expected to be greeted with backlash from the Hammers fans, they instead have agreed with the Liverpudlian in his assessment of their club.
Carragher told Sky Sports Monday Night Football (via the Daily Mail): “Crystal Palace battered them really, I mean they were lucky to get a point.
“There’s a lot of teams near the bottom of the league and you can make a case for them not going down but I’m struggling with West Ham.
“They are getting a little bit close, too close for comfort to teams we’ve actually slaughtered over these last few years, your Sunderland’s, your QPRs when you’ve watched them and it’s really poor.
“They are the one team I would massively worry about in terms of relegation because it doesn’t look like there’s much there.”
Despite spending heavily during the summer, the Hammers currently sit in 16th place in the Premier League having won only two of their ten top flight games this season.
Things are leaking bleak at the London Stadium …
When everyone can see it bar our useless Owners.

We categorically deserve to go down based on the last season and a half

Hate to admit it, but nailed on unless the board replace Billic with someone who has an idea of tactics and who the players will respect

Carragher is right & we all know it to be true but our owners sit on their hands instead of sacking Bilic despite him being out of his depth
