David Moyes faces a stern challenge ahead of him if he’s to save West Ham from relegation and he’s reported to be looking to reunite with a veteran in the mid-season window.

The Daily MirrorĀ reports that West Ham are looking to take advantage of Kevin Mirallas’ situation at Everton, with the Belgian ace falling out of favour under Ronald Koeman and reportedly sent away from training by caretaker boss David Unsworth.

Mirallas was signed by Moyes in 2012 and hit nine goals in his debut season under Moyes, before the Scottish manager moved to take change of Manchester United. Now, the winger has hit 38 goals in 182 games for the Toffees.

Frozen out at Goodison Park, the 30-year-old may seek a move and a reunion with Moyes could appeal- in a transfer that could also seal the departure of record-signing Marko Arnautovic, who has struggled since moving from Stoke.

Moyes has been given the green light to shake-up his squad in January but will need to sell players to raise funds, which an exit for Arnautovic would provide, and a deal for Mirallas wouldn’t break the bank either.
