West Ham continue to struggle despite the appointment of David Moyes and the Hammers remain in the Premier League’s relegation zone after a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of fellow strugglers Everton.

The result means that Moyes is still awaiting his first victory since taking charge at the London Stadium, with the Scottish boss overseeing a defeat to Watford and a draw with Leicester City prior to last night’s shambolic performance.

An incredibly difficult run of fixtures now awaits Moyes and his side, as the Hammers clash with Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal over the course of the coming weeks.

Performances certainly need to improve and fans will look ahead to the January transfer window as the ideal opportunity to strengthen a squad that has been sub-par this season, though Moyes has revealed his priority lies within the current squad.

Quoted by The Daily Star, he said:

“I’m not bothered too much about who is not at the club. I really think about the players who are here and really moulding them into a team which can get enough results to make sure we move up the league.”

“If we’re in the same position, I have no doubts that the owners would support any right deals. The important thing is we try to sign good players for the future, but who could do a job immediately.”
