Ex West Ham star Trevor Sinclair believes that winger Robert Snodgrass is excelling during his loan spell at Aston Villa from the Hammers.
The Scottish international provided an assist and scored in the 2-0 win over Preston North End last night, and has impressed overall since making the temporary move to Villa Park.
Snodgrass was signed from Hull City for £10.8m last January but failed to establish himself in the first team under Slaven Bilic. The 30 year old has subsequently accused the Croatian of not knowing where to play him after being shunted to the left hand side despite playing most of his career as a right winger.
West Ham fans on Twitter reacted to Sinclair’s comment, and to Snodgrass’s performance in general, with a mix of frustration that the Scotsman did not perform to the same level for the Hammers, whilst also questioning Bilic’s coaching of the winger during his time at the club.
