West Ham United are now the odds on favourite to land out-of-favour Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge this January, according to bookmakers.
The Red’s star has struggled for regular football over the past season and a half an Anfield, and is rumoured to want away from the Merseyside club in an attempt to revitalise his career and boost his chances of inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup in Russia next summer.
A number of Premier League clubs have been heavily linked with a move for the struggling striker including Newcastle United and Everton, however it is now the Hammers who reportedly lead the chase for the former Chelsea and Manchester City man.
According to bookmakers Betfair, the Premier League strugglers are 11/4 favourites to sign the 28-year-old after the New Year.
David Moyes is keen to bolster his attacking options in order to improve his chances of keeping West Ham in the league and strikers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho widely rumoured to be leaving the club in the coming months.
