West Ham have lacked presence in midfield this season and signing former Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi could help to solve that issue, with the 27-year-old helping to replace Mark Noble- who has been largely out of sorts this season.
Things didn’t quite go the Spanish midfielder’s way during his time with Los Blancos but he’s found stability again back in the Basque county, scoring three goals and providing two assists in ten La Liga appearances this term.
