West Ham made a bold decision yesterday to axe Slaven Bilic from his position as manager, after a sequence of events over the weekend saw the Hammers slip into the relegation zone.
The board wasted no time in removing Bilic from his role, and appointing David Moyes as his predecessor, and there’s been plenty of discussion around the decision to axe the Croatian manager- and one former player has chipped in.
Alvaro Arbeloa, who endured a woeful spell at West Ham last season, tweeted that it’s ‘better late than never’ to get rid of Bilic but his comments didn’t go down too well with the supporters, who reminded him how poor he was last season.
Whilst the vast majority of fans wanted to see the back of Bilic, they still have respect for the boss and clearly believe that Arbeloa crossed the line- and they certainly made that clear to the Spanish World Cup winner.

Didn't see anyone wishing you well when you left….In fact. took a while to notice.

Cheap comment. Why kick a man when he is down. This shows more about the man you are, than the man Bilic is. #whufc

@aarbeloa17 Your highlights real when you left West Ham was only of you taking a throw in. That's how irrelevant you are. You made no impact

Poor Tweet from a player that stole a living at West Ham for a year
