West Ham United are in a difficult position at the moment as they struggle near the foot of the Premier League table, with manager Slaven Bilic given just two games to save himself from becoming the fourth boss in the top-flight this season to lose his job.

These next two matches are crucial, with Spurs first travelling across London to tackle Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley in the Carabao Cup before a decisive Premier League clash with the current rock-bottom side, Crystal Palace.

Changes are expected ahead of tomorrow night’s encounter and West Ham icon Kevin Nolan has identified the change he wants to see the Hammers make, telling the club’s official website that he believes captain Mark Noble is the ideal man to call upon.

“Mark’s a great character and he’s a great lad. For me, he’s what West Ham need. West Ham need those sorts of players, especially heading into a game like Tottenham away,”

“Mark Noble wears his heart on his sleeve and loves West Ham. He’s a West Ham boy through and through, and for me he’s the perfect fit for the Club and the captaincy and the way West Ham play.”

West Ham need leaders to get them out of this difficult period and an experienced player like Noble may hold the key, although his performances lately have been less than impressive- suggesting that he’s just as responsible as the rest of his team.
