West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart has not had a great start to his loan spell at the London stadium. The England number one joined on a season long loan from Manchester City back in July but he has so failed to live up to expectations.
The keeper was once again in the thick of the action on Friday night as the Hammers succumbed 3-0 at home to newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion. The 30 year old failed to save Jose Izquierdo’s long range effort for the Seagulls’ second goal of the match.
Many pundits and fans felt that Hart could have done a lot better with the shot. Even though the stopper managed to get his hands on the ball, he could not prevent it from hitting the back of the net.
The Twitter reaction to Hart’s performance against Brighton was not particularly kind, especially as many were expecting the England keeper to make a positive impact on results this campaign. So far though, it hasn’t turned out that way with many Hammers fans asking where it has all gone wrong for the on loan City star.
