West Ham are looking to divert attention away from their poor Premier League campaign tomorrow night in the Carabao Cup but the Hammers face an extremely difficult test against an in-form Tottenham Hotspur side.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been in superb form this season and enter the match on a high following the 4-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday, which makes the Lilywhites favourites for the clash at the Wembley Stadium.

Slaven Bilic’s side will hope to bounce back but one man who doesn’t think that will happen is Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas, who is backing Tottenham to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory against the Hammers.

“This could be a feisty one – but I only see one outcome. Mauricio Pochettino impressively exposed Liverpool’s vulnerabilities on Sunday and their confidence must be sky high.”

“What does Slaven Billic do? If he plays a strong team, they could still be embarrassed. I’m a fan of Bilic but this is a really average group of players. He’s partly responsible but I don’t think you should judge him on a match like this.”

Any defeat will only add to the pressure on the West Ham boss, although it could end up being another nail in the coffin.
