West Ham are reportedly lining up a move for former Atletico Madrid and Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores as they look to replace underperforming Slaven Bilic, reports The Sun.
Flores took over newly promoted Watford in the summer of 2015, however despite leading his side to a comfortable mid-table finish and an FA cup semi-final, parted ways with the Londoners at the end of the season.
Following his departure, the Spaniard moved on to La Liga side Espanyol, with whom he has two years remaining on his current contract.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has found himself under pressure after a difficult start to the new season in which the Hammers have won only two of their seven Premier League fixtures so far despite a summer of heavy spending.
A number of names have already been banded around as potential suitors to replace the struggling Croat, including those of Carlo Ancelotti (who was recently sacked from his position at Bayern Munich) and former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.
The latest man to find himself on that growing list is Flores, however the West Ham faithful seem torn on the idea of the former Watford man taking charge at the London Stadium …
Quique Flores would definitely improve #whufc, but whatever the 'West Ham way' is supposed to be you wouldn't get it from him.
