The Claret and Blue army have hit back in full force against former Spurs owner Alan Sugar’s dig at West Ham during the most recent broadcast of the hit TV show The Apprentice.

Sugar, who was sat beside co-star and West Ham vice-Chairwoman Karen Brady at the time, did not hesitate to poke fun at the Hammers ’empty’ trophy room when given the chance.

The shows host was not happy with his contestants who had been given a challenge of sprucing up in interior of a luxury 5* hotel room with a £15,000 budget, and proceed to give a damning review of their sub-standard work.

He said: “I think it’s a little bit bare, you didn’t spend enough money, actually.

“I think West Ham’s trophy room has got more in it than this.”

Not only did the joke not go down particularly well with Brady, who sat with an unimpressed smirk after Sugar’s quip, but also with the West Ham fans, who quickly took to Twitter to show their displeasure …
