It’s a tough week to be a West Ham supporter, with the Hammers slumping to sit above the relegation zone on only goal difference after suffering a 3-0 defeat to newly-promoted Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday evening.
That result increased the pressure upon manager Slaven Bilic, who reportedly has two games to save his job, and a wealth of debate has emerged surrounding the Hammers and who they might bring in to steady the ship.
A number of names have been mentioned, including that of former West Ham boss Sam Allardyce, with fans taking to social media to discuss the possibility of the former England and Crystal Palace boss returning to the club.
Many believe he’d do a decent job, pointing out the fact he had a weaker squad during his time in East London and performed well, whereas others believe it would be a massive step backwards and a huge mistake from the board.

People mentioning getting Allardyce back until the end of the season shows how fickle West Ham supporters are.

Anyone that says they would have sam back are an embarrassment

Just get Allardyce back until the end of the season. It isn't that deep. https://t.co/ULewFNuwfi

Allardyce did a very competent job with a poor squad. You only have to look at the regression of Reid, Cresswell etc since he left #WestHam

Allardyce did well with us with a squad no where near as good as what we have now.
