Andy Carroll
The 28-year-old may not be one of the most sought after strikers in the Premier League, and he may not be as attracting as England compatriots Harry Kane, Jermaine Defoe, Marcus Rashford or Jamie Vardy, but he does offer something completely different.
Carroll has nine England caps to his name, and two goals, but has not been called up since 2012. This may well be his last chance to go to a World Cup and he’s perhaps in a better position than many expect, due to the strengths that he has compared to his striking rivals.
