3 players West Ham will regret selling way too soon

|

James Tomkins

Crystal Palace have hardly set the world alight, particularly defensively, but West Ham have struggled with a loss of identity following their departure from Upton Park- so selling academy graduate James Tomkins in 2016 can certainly be considered a mistake.

Tomkins, who has represented England at various youth levels and played for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic, featured in over 200 games for West Ham and enjoyed victory in the play-off final in the 2011/12 season.

In his absence, West Ham’s defence has hardy held themselves in the best of light and new signings like Jose Fonte have struggled to impress- begging the question as to why Tomkins was allowed to go.
