West Ham may be feeling aggrieved this Monday morning as the Hammers failed to hold onto their advantage in the weekend’s clash against Burnley, where Slaven Bilic’s side held the lead for the majority of the game before conceding to a late Chris Wood equaliser.
Andy Carroll’s dismissal in the first-half certainly left the Hammers with plenty to do, and their backs against the wall, but West Ham performed well over the course of the match- although a draw was probably a fair result overall.
That game left the Hammers with eight points from their opening eight matches, setting up a crucial match with Brighton this weekend as Bilic’s side look to find their form and climb up the standings- something they failed to do for the entirety of last season.
Fortunately, bright sparks are starting to emerge in this side and there could be better fortunes right around the corner. These three players in particular shined at the weekend and will hope to put together a fine run of form now to help their side.
