West Ham have secured their first win of the Premier League season after beating Huddersfield 2-0 at the London Stadium.

Going into the fixture, Slaven Bilic’s men were rock bottom of the table without a single point to their name – a run of form that had seen the Croatian’s future in East London thrown up in the air – however will they will now be relieved to be off the ground and running.

West Ham dominated a goalless first half, however didn’t get he breakthrough till just past nmid way through the second thanks to Pedro Obiang’s deflected strike.

Andre Ayew then doubled the advantage 5 minutes later, reacting quickest from a corner to prod home from close range.

Michail Antonio was particularly impressive for the Hammers, as was Andy Carroll who was returning from injury, with the duo and indeed the rest of the squad giving Slaven Bilic a much needed win on his birthday.

Fans are more than relieved to get their first victory of the season, and have taken to Twitter to share their delight …
