Andy Carroll returned to West Ham starting lineup on Saturday.
As you would expect, Hammers fans are tentative to get behind Carroll, who possesses an infamously horrendous injury record.
The former England international displayed a mediocre performance as West Ham saw off Huddersfield on Saturday. The 28 year-old needs more minutes under his belt, but the return of his aerial threat and power is positive news for West Ham fans.
Speaking on the Sky Sports debate show, former Hammers’ boss Alan Pardew claims he wouldn’t allow Carroll to train in order to prevent him from suffering more injuries.
“If I was West Ham manager, I wouldn’t let him train,” said Pardew (via HITC). “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I just wouldn’t let him, and say he can do a little bit of work on Thursday, Friday he can play in a seven-a-side, and then play on Saturday.”
The London Stadium faithful are keen to see their marksman wrapped in bubble rap before and after a match.
Hammers fans have taken to Twitter to share their delight and trepidation in seeing Carroll back in the Claret and Blue…
