Slaven Bilic believes fit-again Andy Carroll is the answer to his striking woes after a difficult start to the season in front of goal.

The Hammers were held to a drab 0-0 draw by West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday, and their failure to find the back of the net was the third time in five games so far this season they have done so.

Slaven Bilic’s have scored just four goals so far this season, with Javier Hernandez having found the net twice, and Andre Ayew and Pedro Obiang also getting their names on the scoresheet.

Andy Carroll is yet to register a goal, however Slaven Bilic has full faith in the Englishman and believes his return from injury can solve the club’s problems in front of goal.

“This was his second game and he looks fit and he looks competitive and the quality will come through the games.” Bilic told the club’s website (via the Daily Mail).

“It’s a big boost for us and long may it continue. It is very important for him to get the games under his belt. He looks good now, touch wood.”

The Hammers currently sit 17th in the Premier League table, and welcome London rivals Tottenham to the London Stadium, who are 5th, this weekend.
