Michail Antonio remains confident that West Ham can secure their first win of the Premier League season tonight despite their lacklustre start to the new campaign.

The Hammers sit currently joint bottom of the league and are yet to register a single point this season following three consecutive defeats to Manchester United, Southampton and Newcastle.

It is a run of form that has seen pressure heaped on both manager and players, however last season’s Hammer of the Year Antonio believes his side can give the fans what they want at the London Stadium tonight.

“It’s just one of those things where we’ve had a bad start and made a couple of mistakes. We need to pick ourselves up and just keep moving forward.” said the winger speaking on whufc.com.

“It’s important to win because we have got to get some points on the table, especially with Burnley and Newcastle winning again. We need to put our heads to it and keep going.”

Tonight’s fixture is the Hammers’ first at home this season following the London Stadium playing host to the World Athletics Championships, and Slaven Bilic and co’ will be hoping to turn their home into a fortress in their second season at the stadium.

“We are all professional and we all believe in our abilities,” said Antonio. “We know we have the squad to bring us up the table and we will bring ourselves up the table.”
