Manuel Lanzini is set to sign a new £85,000 per week contract at West Ham amidst interest from Liverpool, reports The Sun.

The Argentine has been identified by the Reds as the man they would like to replace Philippe Coutinho should he leave for Barcelona in a big money move as is highly rumoured.

However, with Lanzini becoming one of the club’s most valuable players over the year, the Hammers are keen to keep hold of the midfielder and will offer him a new contract that will bring him in line with the club’s top earners as an attempt to secure his future at the London Stadium.

West Ham fans have been kept on edge with regards to their star player’s future in recent weeks, with Lanzini not yet to put pen to paper, but after months of negotiation it now appears he is ready to sign a new deal.

Should Lanzini indeed sign the deal, he would earn approximately £4.4 million a year.
