West Ham are ready to launch a sensational £25 million bid for long term Arsenal target William Carvalho, reports The Mirror.
The Hammers have already had a busy summer having signed five players, however are now turning their attention to the Portugal international as Slaven Bilic looks to bolster his midfield options.
Carvalho – a European Championship winner with Portugal – has been linked with a number of Premier League teams including West Ham, Everton and Manchester City. The 25-year-old midfielder has made 154 appearances in five season spell with current side Sorting Lisbon and has established himself as a key member the Portugal national side.
While the Hammers are thought to be preparing what could be another club record bid, the offer is understood to fall well short of what Lisbon are wanting for the player, which is more in the region of €45 million.
West Ham will have to negotiate with Carvalho’s new agent Pere Guardiola – brother of Manchester City boss Pep – if they are to secure the services of the highly rated midfielder.

I would absolutely love to sign William Carvalho. He is a top class midfielder, something that we are missing.

Bilic would pick Noble over Carvalho and Obiang.

Carvalho would be a great signing, can't see it happening but we shall see. Would suggest Kouyate injury is worse than expected
