West Ham will turn to Porto star and international compatriot of William Carvalho, Danilo Pereira should the club’s move for the former fall through.

Carvalho seemed set to join the Hammers after agreeing personal terms and was due to fly in for a medical this week, however with the East London side and Carlvalho’s current employers, Sport Lisbon, unable to reach an agreement on a fee for the midfielder, the deal is set to fall through.

Sporting are thought to be demanding as much as £40 million for the Portugal international, a fee West Ham are thought to not to want pay.

Should the move fall through however, The Sun reports that Slaven Bilic will look to another Portugal international instead in the form of Porto star Danilo Pereira.

Also a Euro 2016 winner, Danilo has attracted attention from across Europe with his performances for the Liga NOS outfit over the past two seasons for whom he was scored 10 times in just over 60 appearances.
