James Collins has revealed he cannot wait for tomorrow’s fixture in Iceland against Manchester City after his memories with Wales at Euro 2016.

The Icelanders made a huge impact at the tournament, shocking many by knocking out England on their route to the quarter-finals of the tournament, and the travelling fans became revered the world over for their unbelievable and electrifying support in France.

Having enjoyed a brilliant tournament himself with Wales who reached the semi-finals of a major international tournament for the first time in country’s history, Collins hopes he can experience the same atmosphere in Reykjavik tomorrow.

“The fans that Iceland took out to the Euros were unbelievable, so to go out there and experience that support again, in what will be a competitive game, should be enjoyable.” Collins said speaking on whufc.com

“Hopefully we might see the famous ‘thunderclap’ – the Wales fans and our team kind of adopted that from Iceland last summer, so it would be great to see it live again.

“And we know there is a big West Ham following out in Scandinavia so I’m sure we’ll have a lot of support on Friday. Wherever we go, the fans turn up in their numbers and never disappoint us.”
