West Ham’s second round Carabao Cup tie against Cheltenham Town is due to be shown on Sky Sports.

The Hammers will travel to Whaddon Road for a 7.45pm kick-off on Wednesday August 23rd.

The tie was originally drawn at the London Stadium, however due to the unavailability of the venue following it holding the recent World Athletics Championships, it was reversed and now will instead be played at the home of the League 2 side.

It is the second time in a number of years the two sides have been drawn together in the cup competition, with the pair also clashing in 2013 in which the Hammers emerged 2-1 victors thanks to goals from Ricardo Vaz Te and Ravel Morrison.

The Robins have had a strong start to the new season under manager Gary Johnson, picking up three points from their opening two league games, and seeing off League One side Oxford United 4-3 in the first round of the competition.
