Marko Arnautovic has changed his shirt number from number 27 to number 7.

The former Stoke City put in a request with the Premier League to swap the digits on the back of his shirt following the weekend’s game against Manchester United, and after his request was granted, he will now wear the No7 from now on.

Sofiane Feghouli, the Club’s previous No7, completed his transfer to Turkish side Galatasaray this week, freeing up the squad number for West Ham’s record buy.

Arnautovic formerly wore the number with Werder Bremen during his time in Germany, as well as the Austria national team, but switched to No10 during his time with previous club Stoke City.

The 27-year-old will wear his new strip for the first time against Southampton on Saturday.

West Ham have contacted any supporters who purchased a shirt printed with Arnautovic and 27 and have offered a replacement following his change of squad number.
