With the new Premier League season edging ever closer, clubs from England’s top flight are travelling the globe on their now common-place pre-season adventures as they gear up for the upcoming campaign.
Slaven Bilic and his West Ham will be hoping for a strong finish to pre-season and a quick start to their second term at the London Stadium, after a poor maiden season saw them finish 11th, struggling to settle at the new ground having left Upton Park.
With that goal back at the forefront of the club’s psyche this summer, the powers that be in Stratford have gone out and strengthened with some exciting additions.
As well as Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City, two title winners with Manchester City have moved to the capital in Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta, while another from the red half of the city in Javier Hernandez joined up with the squad, who are currently out in Germany for their preparations, in the week.
With pre-season tours now ever increasing opportunities for clubs to grow their brand it’s easy to forget just how important they are for team spirit and bedding in new signings.
