West Ham began their pre-season last night with a disappointing 0-0 draw with Austrian third tier side Sturm Graz II.
Despite creating plenty of chances, the Hammers were unable to find the net and saw out the lacklustre 90 minutes goal less.
While it was only the start of pre-season, Slaven Bilic’s side are going to need to up their game as the summer goes on as they look to improve on what was an overall disappointing previous campaign.
The Croatian’s side finished 11th come the end of the season – which doesn’t sound too bad at all – however the Hammers were stuck in a relegation battle for much of the year and finished only five points above 17th placed Watford.
A tough new season lies ahead, however with the Hammers having already signed Pablo Zabaleta, and more names expected to be announced soon, hopefully their should be some improvement.
